Dan leads two of the firm's practice groups:  The Consumer Products Group and Succession and Transaction Planning Practice Group.  As the lead specialist, Dan has assisted food processors by improving profit margins by: analyzing pricing policies; determining employment and manufacturing tax credits; implemented cost studies; increased market share by maximizing shelf space; researching industry-specific depreciation allowances; and designing management reporting practices.

As lead specialist in strategic and transaction planning, Dan has developed and executed a variety of programs including exit strategies, due diligence reporting, ESOP planning and implementation, business plans, investor presentations, and capital restructuring.  Dan has achieved an advanced designation of CM&A (Certified in Mergers & Acquisitions) as established by the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisition Advisors.

Dan's industry experience includes food processors, construction, manufacturing, international operations, restaurants, non-profit, retail, real estate, and professional service corporations. He works with clients by providing audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements to assist them in meeting third-party reporting requirements, investor relations, and internal management needs. Additionally, Dan is highly qualified in the tax area, and works with individuals, partnerships, LLCs corporations, estates and trusts.

Dan graduated from the University of Colorado and has pursued graduate studies in taxation at Golden Gate University.  He has served on the board of several non-profit service organizations.  Living in Kentfield, California, with his wife and three children, Dan enjoys playing tennis, cycling, and spending time with his family.
